Some of my favorite scenes are those where she doesn't say *anything* but her face speaks *volumes* of dialogue. In "Confessions and Lamentations" right after Lennier find Sha'naar's (the little Markab girl) mother, we see the girl stagger after hugging her mother and the scene cuts back to Delenn and she give the greatest "instant-realization-of-horror" look I have ever seen. Actually, that entire episode had a number of wonderful Delenn scenes. The dinner ceremony, where she has to guide John through the ritual of eating the meal (by the time she said "We may eat now - with the *right* hand." I was rolling on the floor!). Then after John leaves, Lennier says something in Minbari and Delenn responds back in Minbari. Though we will never know for sure exactly what was said, the meaning seems pretty clear. It was just perfect! The confrontation where she goes to John to ask to be allowed into the isolation zone, "I didn't know that similarity was required for the exercise of compassion!" WHACK! Then, that final scene when John, Stephen & Susan go to the isolation zone. Bill and Mira were both just great. The emotion was just so *raw* in both of them.

Another of my favorites will be replayed tomorrow in the States. It comes at the start of "Endgame". Right after Marcus leaves Susan's side and exits the room, the shot tightens on Delenn as she looks at Susan and the grief and loss just *wells up* on her face. Then, as if having said a final, silent good-bye, her expression changes back to all business. She nods slightly as if reassuring herself that sending Susan back to Babylon 5 is the right thing to do, then turns and leaves.
